Represents an entity (staff member/room/item/etc) for which Appointments can be booked. A Resource can be used over multiple Branches, by assigning it to the relevant Resource Groups.

A group containing one or more Resources and having the Services assigned that can be booked for these Resources. A Resource can be a member of one or multiple groups. The Resource Group usually corresponds to the Appointment Profile. A Resource Group is related to one Branch.

These terms are illustrated in the picture below:

With the definitions above in mind, let us go through an example of what it may look like in a real situation.

As the following picture illustrates, the Branch Mölndal has two Resource Groups, one for Weekdays and one for Weekends (which are covered by corresponding Appointment Profiles). These two Resource Groups both have five Resources, two of which, staff members Kalle and Lisa, are members of both Resource Groups.

So, when Appointments are to be booked, it would be possible to, for example, book Pelle OR Appointment room 1, during the hours specified in the Weekdays Week Schedule/Appointment Profile. During the hours covered by the Weekends Week Schedule, I might suggest you book Jenny OR Appointment room 2 instead.
